The Durant Guild to Advance GM’s Premium Import Business at 2023 China International Import Expo

SHANGHAI – The Durant Guild, GM’s premium import and lifestyle platform, will showcase an exciting lineup of products at the upcoming 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai and share its business plans for bringing the iconic products to the Chinese market.
As a new business born last year from GM’s continued participation in CIIE since 2018, The Durant Guild is returning to the exhibition with a refreshed lineup of GM halo products. It will feature the China debut of the Chevrolet CORVETTE E-Ray hybrid performance car and the Chevrolet SILVERADO EV pickup truck.
The Durant Guild will also roll out its go-to-market roadmap for turning its displays into products for sale, strengthening CIIE as an invaluable platform for GM to explore new business opportunities, identify untapped segments and seek potential partners.

The top-of-the-line offerings on display at this year’s CIIE will showcase GM’s advanced technologies, expert craftsmanship and peak performance of selected nameplates. They will also embody the dynamic and fulfilling lives sought by aspiring consumers and championed by The Durant Guild.
The Chevrolet CORVETTE E-Ray reinterprets the world-famous nameplate with an exhilarating driving experience and unprecedented electrifying flair. It is the only sports car that pairs two separate propulsion systems to provide naturally aspirated V-8 power with electrified responsiveness through eAWD. As the first-ever electrified Corvette as well as the fastest production model in the nameplate’s 70-year history, the E-Ray can achieve 0-60 mph acceleration in a mere 2.5 seconds.
The Chevrolet SILVERADO EV more than delivers on its legendary name as the brand’s first pickup truck reimagined for an all-electric era. Based on GM’s Ultium platform, it leverages a 24-module battery pack as part of its fundamental structure to deliver impressive range and performance, which includes up to 754 horsepower with more than 785 lb-ft of torque in the max-power Wide Open Watts mode.
Based on overwhelming audience feedback, three other products from category-defining nameplates will return to CIIE, highlighting the vast market potential The Durant Guild is ready to unlock. The GMC HUMMER EV represents the ground-breaking performance of an all-electric super-truck. As a hard-core off-roader and a premium professional player, respectively, the Chevrolet TAHOE and the GMC YUKON further elaborate on the unmatched versatility of the full-size SUV class.
The 6th CIIE will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from Nov. 5-10, 2023. The Durant Guild booth will be located in Hall 2.1.
