Liuzhou – Baojun has launched its first intelligent long-range new energy SUV, the Yun Hai. Two plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and two all-electric (EV) variants with advanced driving assist features are available at a price ranging from RMB 109,800 to RMB 133,800. Baojun received 6,000 orders within just three hours after the Yun Hai’s launch.

The Yun Hai embodies Baojun’s new Human-Vehicle Integration concept, which is based on offering smarter products, more intelligent technology, refined manufacturing, superior quality and digital services. This comes through in the stylish design, smooth and comfortable handling, intelligent driving, overall reliability and comprehensive safety.
Advanced User-Friendly Technologies
Among the advanced technologies in all four variants of the Yun Hai are the Shenlian battery, which has had zero instances of spontaneous combustion through sales of two million units, and the industry-leading Lingxi propulsion system. The Yun Hai is the first intelligent long-range new energy SUV built on the Tianyu Architecture D platform.
The Yun Hai also comes standard with the user-friendly Lingmou Intelligent Driving 2.0 Max developed with Zhuoyu Technology. It is the initial model priced under RMB 150,000 to implement end-to-end intelligent driving, ushering in a new era of advanced driving assist. The system includes urban memory navigation assistance, nationwide high-speed intelligent navigation assistance, lane centering control intelligent driving assistance and industry-leading intelligent parking support.
Highly Efficient Powertrains
The PHEV variants come with an electric range of 60 km and 140 km, while the EV models have an electric range of 500 km and 600 km. Equipped with a 150-kW high-efficiency motor, the Yun Hai can reach a speed of up to 170 km/h and accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. Its segment-leading aerodynamic design gives the nameplate a low drag coefficiency that is in the top tier of global mass-produced SUVs.
The 600-km pure electric version boasts the longest range in its class, with a 69.2-kWh battery and 2C DC fast charging, allowing a 300-km recharge in just 20 minutes. It also features 3.3-kW external discharge capability.
Equipped with the Lingxi hybrid system, the PHEV variants offer a combined range of up to 1,100 km, with NEDC fuel consumption as low as 3.8 liters/100 km and WLTC fuel consumption as low as 4.86 liters/100 km. The 140-km PHEV version supports DC fast charging.
Safe and Comfortable Performance
The Yun Hai’s sophisticated SUV design has a 1.17 width-to-height ratio that ensures a comfortable ride for all occupants. The travel experience is supported by the largest intelligent dual screens in the Yun Hai’s class. They have smooth operation and clear imaging. The intelligent voice assistant is fast and smart, with abundant entertainment options.
A six-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat comes standard across the lineup. An optional ventilated and heated driver’s seat and electrically adjustable front passenger seat are available with the EV and 140-km PHEV models.
The Yun Hai also comes standard with a front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension with segment-leading chassis tuning. The E-booster electronic braking system gives added peace of mind. In addition, the Yun Hai has a class-leading 79.6% high-strength steel six-ring cage body, six air bags and a 540° panoramic view, providing all-around protection.
