Cadillac Launches All-New XT5 in China, Creates New Standard for Luxury Midsize SUVs

SHANGHAI – Cadillac hosted the Dream Valley Autumn Art Festival this weekend in Shanghai to celebrate the formal launch of the all-new XT5, the brand’s best-selling midsize SUV.
Three variants of the all-new XT5 are available at a price ranging from RMB 265,900 to RMB 335,900, with special limited-time offers and purchase benefits. Cadillac’s fixed price strategy simplifies the decision-making process for customers amid the strong competition in the luxury car market.
Cadillac has received 5,000 orders for the all-new XT5 since pre-sales began earlier this month.

Uncompromising Design for Instant Recognition
For 122 years, Cadillac has maintained its confident self-expressive attitude, incorporating bold, sharp and stunning elements into its design. The all-new XT5 continues this tradition with its fully modernized luxury styling, standing out in traffic and making an instant impression.
The all-new XT5 features an upgraded architecture. Its enhanced dimensions exude a poised presence. The iconic sculptural design is characterized by sharp lines and sleek surfaces, embodying American luxury and confidence.
The all-new XT5 boasts the only vertical flow matrix headlights in its class, featuring the latest Slim-Line technology to push the physical limits of optical lenses to 15 mm. With ultra-bright LED bulbs in a narrow space, the technology offers 36-zone lighting and a 360-meter range, creating a magical vertical light and horizontal beam effect.
All-Terrain Capability for a Smooth Journey
The all-new XT5’s propulsion system is made up of a 2.0T engine along with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a nine-speed automatic transmission. It can generate up to 174 kW of power and 350 Nm of maximum torque.
Infused with Cadillac’s brand DNA of freedom, the all-new XT5 comes with the Hummingbird chassis and has a high-strength body. It handles both city streets and rugged mountain roads with ease.
The standard Hummingbird chassis has been upgraded with a track that is 42 mm wider and ground clearance that is 22 mm higher. Meanwhile, the suspension geometry has been upgraded for improved handling and stability. The Hummingbird Max chassis features the twin-clutch vector all-wheel-drive system, an electronic real-time damping adjustable suspension and Brembo high-performance six-piston custom calipers, the strongest trio in its class. The Hummingbird Air chassis includes newly upgraded rigid springs and a self-sensing damping variable suspension for dual shock absorption.
The all-new XT5’s performance has been comprehensively enhanced through three rounds of tuning by Cadillac’s global team, covering over 20 types of road surfaces and more than 120 different driving conditions and open roads.
Safety is Cadillac’s uncompromising priority. The all-new XT5 features a class-leading ten-horizontal-six-vertical steel beam cage body, with over 86.9% ultra-high-strength steel, hot-formed steel and high-strength steel, for maximum safety.
The all-new XT5 comes standard with 18 active safety sensors, offering 360° HD panoramic imaging, HoLCA intelligent lane centering assist, automatic emergency braking, patented 3D Haptic safety alert vibrating seats, and 22 other active safety features. Safety is further enhanced by 21-inch wheels and 265-mm tires that are the largest and widest in the segment, respectively.
Attention to Detail for Ultimate Luxury
Cadillac’s pursuit of luxury details is fully realized in the all-new XT5. The interior merges premium materials with cutting-edge technology, reinterpreting the brand’s classic charm in the modern era. The 33-inch curved ultra-retina screen, with an 86.8% screen-to-body ratio and 9K ultra-high resolution, is unique in the segment. It is capable of displaying a billion colors.
As the only automotive brand globally partnering with AKG, Cadillac has brought a world-class studio experience to the all-new XT5’s mobile cabin. It includes 15 meticulously placed speakers, a 10-channel amplifier, a 5.4-mm dual-layer acoustic glass windshield and standard ANC noise-canceling technology.
The all-new XT5 also features 126 standard ambient lights, totaling over four meters in length, that are capable of creating over 15,000 color combinations along with three different immersive modes, resulting in a premium and relaxing sensory experience.
Unparalleled seating comfort for long-distance journeys is a hallmark of the nameplate. The all-new XT5 is equipped with the longest and thickest rear seat cushions and the largest backrest angle adjustment in its class. The seats are covered in top-grade fine Nappa semi-aniline leather and filled with 3D mesh eco-friendly materials. The front seats offer three levels of heating, ventilation and massage functions, while the rear seats provide rare heating and the one-touch electric folding function. The trunk, expanded to 653 liters, easily accommodates four 28-inch suitcases to meet various travel needs.
